The Emancipation DVD is the result of Brasil Papaya’s 18 years of instrumental music experience. With two CD’s released: BRASIL PAPAYA (1997) and ESPERANZA (2006), the band is way more daring and mature. The foursome mixes, fearlessly, musical rhythms as different as tango, “choro”, “chamamé”, “milonga”, flamenco, jazz and funk. All dressed up with a Rock’n Roll and sometimes a spoonful of heavy metal. This DVD shows Brasil Papaya in action at Teatro Alvaro de Carvalho (TAC) in Florianópolis/SC, living it up their 18 years on the road.
